The second semifinal of the ICC World T20 2014 is just around the corner and will be played at Mirpur on 4th April 2014. Both the sides look in great knick and will go hard at the other to grab their most important win in the tournament.

India have been the most consistent outfit in the tournament so far having won all their Super 10 matches and finishing at the top of the Group 2. They boast of their strong batting line and the good news for them so far in this tournament is that their spinners have been the nightmare for the opponent batsmen throughout. The spinners with the likes of Ravi Jadeja, R Ashwin and Amit Mishra will be a real challenge for the South Africans in today’s match and they will really have to play well for seeing them off. The weaker link for India is their pace bowling but Mohit Sharma and Bhuvneshwar Kumar did a reasonable job for them in their last match. Yuvraj Singh clicked against Australia when all the other batsmen were perishing early so he can play a key role today as well. Besides, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina have been their batting stars throughout the tournament and will be in the spotlight once more here in this match.

South Africa have had a splendid run so far in their World T20 campaign so far and will be looking to outplay India today. AB Devilliers, Hashim Amla, JP Duminy and Faf du Plessis will be their mainstay in the batting department. AB and Amla showed their brilliance in the game against England and will have to repeat it once more today. Furthermore, they will be the key players who can handle Indian spinners fairly well and have a job to do for their team in the semifinal. JP Duminy played a brilliant 80 odd innings against New Zealand but since then his bat has been silent and it’s high time for him to score runs today. Imran Tahir will play a vital role for the South Africans with the ball in today’s match as he has been doing it for last few games. Besides, Steyn and Tsotsobe will be their mainstream wicket-taking options against India.
